Create Infographic

  • Make an infographic that can be posted in the next two to three weeks. You can use Canva or the internet in general for ideas but you must make it in PhotoShop.
  • Save the file in the infographic folder. Use the file name "your last name infographic". Save the PSD and then when you are done you will export it as a jpg to post. Use the dimensions 2000 px X 2000 px.
  • It must include an ad from the For Infographics folder which is in the ads folder.
  • Multiple images/shapes and layers must be used in conjunction with text.
Use of adjustments, styles and effects.
  • Possible topics: Summer sports, upcoming events (nnvd1a.org), classroom activities, etc. There is still a lot going on the remainder of the year ranging from concerts to graduation.
  • From the email I sent, the football image would fully satisfy the requirements. The baseball Game Day image is barely good enough to post. The final image does not meet the requirements.
  • When you are done, export the image as a jpg file and email it to me as a reply to the email I sent you.

Weekly Article

  • Each of you is writing an SOW, POW or AOW article. Your area has been assigned in your assignments sheet, not the ladder.
  • Remember these must be saved in the articles online folder on Google Drive. The file name should be your last name your first name and the article name. For example, espinola olivia SOW week 3. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1CAb_GMwKnt1uKqoFnIbHLlYPi6xOY1t0?usp=sharing
  • You must talk to the teacher/coach and the person they select. Please tell them this does not have to be their best student or athlete but is used to get someone publicity who might not usually get it. Get at least one quote from each. Do not ask the student how they feel about getting picked. Ask them about their year or season so far.
  • You will also find, edit and insert a picture for the article. If it is a freshman we do not have their school portraits yet so you will need to take a picture with a camera, not your phone. For sports, we only have game pics of football, volleyball, and boys soccer but we have head shots of all athletes.
  • Try to physically talk to the interviewees as you will get better quotes. If you must use email there is a list of coaches in the student rosters folder in the Winnada folder. DO NOT contact any teachers/coaches by phone.
  • Examples:
    • http://lowryhighschool.com/?s=Student+of+the+Week
